Host a webinar. A webinar is a workshop or seminar that is presented over the web. Sites like GoToWebinar allow you to host and record webinars. Webinars are practical because you can connect with any number of people from anywhere in the world. Also, like videos and infographics, webinars are visual, which makes them effective at engaging and capturing your audience.
Join a startup accelerator: Another great option is to apply to a startup accelerator like Y Combinator, 500 startups, or TechStars, where a group of investors will help coach you, connect you with potential partners, and provide startup cash in return for a small stake in your company. The competition is tough to get into these, so don’t rely on them as your only path forward.
For example, if you are good gym coach, you may choose that as your niche market and write on that topic. Some of the popular niche market where you can get lots of traffic are health, make money online, fashion & digital marketing. But do remember that high traffic niche is relative to high competition, so it’s up to you to make the wise decision while choosing a niche.
Of course you want affiliates with high commissions, but they should also have a solid reputation with high conversions and low reversal rates (you get $0 if people cancel after signing up). If they’re part of an affiliate marketplace like ShareASale or ClickBank you can see some numbers there. Companies likes Amazon/SiteGround are safe bets, otherwise do your research (or track your affiliate links so you can monitor their performance). Avoid affiliates offering huge commissions since this probably means they’re struggling to acquire/retain customers naturally. This will hurt your numbers (specifically your conversions/reversal rates).
The larger the company, the more requirements and prerequisites they likely have in place. That’s not necessarily a bad thing. Even though you may need a newer computer, they may be offer health insurance and a full-time schedule. There’s always a trade-off. Know that more scheduling freedom and flexibility and less management oversight may mean lesser pay or no benefits.
Wow Yuwanda, I’m so impressed with this site and very thankful you made it! I’m very new to all this and chose a site on what I was interested in and that’s drones. They are fun to use and a wide variety so this was a easy choice. I made lists of different price ranges for people looking to buy one as a gift or for themselves. I’m constantly looking up new ideas and trying to find other people’s experiences with affiliate marketing. That’s why this site was so amazing to me. It’s very inspiring and I’ll be checking back from time to time to read everyone’s experiences. Thanks a lot! BTW I signed up for share a sell through you. Maybe they have something I can add
